The 2022 Mazda CX-5 carries over unchanged from the previous model year. That update saw a larger standard touchscreen, a smartphone app that allowed for remote monitoring and some controls, a new Carbon Edition trim level and updated safety features in the top of the line Signature trim.
Performance and Technology
There are two versions of the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder available for the 2022 Mazda CX-5. The first is a standard four, offering 187 horsepower with 186 pound-feet of torque, while the available turbocharged four-cylinder bumps you up to a maximum 250 horsepower with 320 pound-feet of torque when you fill up with the recommended premium fuel. An all-wheel drive system is available as well, helping you maintain traction and control when you're driving through rough weather conditions.
On the tech front, the new 2022 Mazda CX-5 is loaded. You'll start off with a bundle of standard safety system, including forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning and keeping assist and adaptive cruise control, with higher trims adding more to the mix.
