Before working in the car business, I put my hospitality management degree to work as part of the management team at a four-star hotel in Orlando, Florida. I brought that passion for creating a great experience here to Fairfax Mazda in 2000 as the new car sales manager. For over 20 years, I have worked together with the sales team to deliver a four-star experience to every Mazda guest.

As the General Manager, I work together with all departments to continue to provide all of our clients the very best experience in service, parts, and sales.

Hey there! I’m Phil Arellano, and I’m excited to be the new General Sales Manager at Safford Brown Mazda Fairfax. After 24 years in the automotive industry, starting as a lot attendant, I can honestly say there’s no other business like it, and I love every minute of it!

In the next five years, I’m aiming for a General Manager role, but right now, my focus is on building a great team and creating an awesome experience for our customers. I believe in keeping things simple and straightforward—no back-and-forth negotiations here!

I just joined the Safford Brown Mazda Fairfax family in 2024, and I’m all in. Helping customers find the right car without the hassle is what I’m all about.

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me enjoying life with my two amazing daughters, who keep me motivated and inspired. I also love hitting the golf course for a peaceful early morning tee-time to recharge.

Oh, and here’s a fun fact: If I could have any superpower, it’d be to read minds—just imagine the deals I could close!

Hi, I’m Baz! I joined Safford Brown Mazda Fairfax back in 2016 because I love helping people find a car they’ll truly enjoy. Over time, my passion for connecting with customers has only grown, and I’ve developed a real appreciation for how teamwork and clear communication make all the difference.

One of the best parts of my job is seeing our team’s excitement when we hit our goals and hearing positive feedback from upper management—it reminds me of the power of good teamwork. In the coming years, I’m aiming to deepen my knowledge even more and continue delivering the best experience possible for our customers.

Outside of work, I’m big on outdoor adventures and love swimming. And after a busy week, nothing beats relaxing with my family and spending time in nature.
